To celebrate this remarkable achievement we want to make this year's annual Bushcare BBQ something special, can you join us? Please put Sunday 2 December down in your diary. We're putting on a big bash for all of our Bushcare volunteers at the new Queens Domain Community Hub. Festivities begin at 12 noon and finish at 3pm. We'll celebrate 25 years of pulling out weeds, planting native plants, and of course, sharing a cuppa or two. We will also announce the winner of this year's Bushcare Legend Golden Secateurs Award, which is given out every year to an outstanding Bushcarer. Oh, just a note. We had previously penned the event for November 4, so if you were early off the mark please update your calendars to Sunday 2 December. Sjaan Field, Program Officer Bushcare Seeking nominations for the Bushcare Legend Golden Secateurs Award 2018 Do you know a Bushcare legend? Each year Bushcare seeks nominations to recognise individual volunteer efforts. The ‘Bushcare Legend Golden Secateurs Award’ is awarded to an individual Bushcare volunteer who:    o   Has made a positive and lasting impact on Hobart’s bushland.    o   Inspires others to contribute to caring for Hobart’s bushland. If you would like to nominate a volunteer for this award please email a nomination to bushcare@hobartcity.com.au  or post to Bushcare, GPO Box 503, Hobart 7001, detailing why you think the volunteer is a Bushcare legend.
